The California Fuel Cell Partnership December newsletter that was distributed on Friday includes three YouTube videos of the Toyota FCHV-adv hydrogen fuel cell vehicle.

Here is an extremely interesting excerpt that begins at minute 1:45 in the second video:

Matt Kelly (Host):

“Do you envision, you know, years down the road, that hydrogen fuel cell vehicles will be along the same price point as regular vehicles?”

Matt McClory (Toyota senior engineer):

“Well, in the future, what we’re looking at at Toyota is around the 2015 time frame to start commercialization of the vehicles to the public.  And in that time frame, we see that the cost of the fuel cell vehicle to the consumer would be comparable and competitive to conventional technology.”
